happy

summer solstice.

3:59 p.m. Alaska time. 21 hours 49 minutes of daylight. Who's using it all? Those juncos out there singing right now?

This light, and these mosquitoes, and the green of the outfield at Growden Park will be unimaginable in six months. Revel.

hey Ned. revel indeed. i just got down off the Haul Road. there is something near religion about the solstice above the circle.

hope your weekend went well.

Ned @ 5:17 pm:

Glad you got out, brotha.

WIth this house building I've been like a chickadee, not straying from a three-mile radius for the lifetime of this summer.

Hey Ned,

I just finished your book last night. almost pulled an all nighter to finish..learned some great things about Alaska that I probably never would have known. Props for braving Brooks Range skeeters!

Cheers,
Hollie

Ned @ 12:51 pm:

Thanks Hollie;

It's nice to know the book lives on. I'll have a new one available on amazon soon. I'll post a blog entry when that comes about.

Rock on,

Ned
