I can see Russia . . .
In a recent column, Anchorage Daily News outdoors columnist Craig Medred wrote how it's almost impossible to see Russia from Alaska.
Here, I come to the defense of our governor, who's now at a bake sale in Des Moines. Took this photo from Gambell, Alaska. Russia is the blue mountains in the background, about 50 miles away . . .

Ned,
Thanks for the little "jabs" about your Govenor. In our household, here in Durham, Ct., we think Sarah is "refreshing", and they will get our vote.
I think it's a crime the way they are "nit picking" at her - but those "good ole boys" in Washington will not stop at anything.
Enjoy reading your Blog and will read your new book soon.
Keep up the good work.
Irene
Thanks, Irene.
No jabs here. Just accurate reports on Sarah's location. Who knows where she and the Iron Dog champ sleep tonight?

Wish I knew. Any qualified candidate (regardless of sex or race of course) who can load a shotgun with one hand and change a diaper with the other gets my vote.
