a turn of seasons

smithlake.jpg

OK.

Now we're in it.

The dark season.

Time change took care of that, as did our latitude. How do you endure it, after 20 years?

I'm trying a run at mid-day, on UAF's south slope, so sun hits my face, the only skin showing. Vitamin D production? Probably not.

It's quiet, it's peaceful, it's the time you think of the name of that band that used to play in Dawson City in the summer:

"Way Too Far North."
