Ew I greatly dislike ticks!!! Was hiking the other day and was being slightly phobic about them. Glad mosquitoes don't bury themselves in your skin! Nice weather for this trip, eh?

A few years ago my husband and I went on a 2 week trip to Alaska. While there I bought a book, Walking My Dog Jane. Little did I know that I would be walking a pipeline in South Dakota? It all started when I gave my friend the book to read and we joked about walking the pipeline that went through her land. One sunny day we did just that granted it was only a little over a mile on their land but we did walk a pipeline! As I took the pictures and later looked at them on the computer it made me think this could be described as open heart surgery on Mike and Sues land. It cut though the heart of their native grass pasture and broke Mike and Sue’s heart to watch it being done. The land has been seeded back to grass and I hope that Mike and Sue’s hearts will heal in time.

pipelines. This one is still here in Alaska, with oil trickling through for 800 miles. Amazing there's that much oil in the ground.

I have a couple of pictures of us on the pipeline if you send me a link I can send them to you if you would like to put them with my little story.
