Adak

Adak's having a tough time, and the community of about 200 people in the mid-Aleutians has been struggling since the Navy pulled about 6,000 people out in 1997. It's got a feel to it now like the Love Canal area of Niagra Falls had in the 1980s, like everyone took off and left a few ghosts behind.

This is surreal. Those look like fairly nice, well-built houses, even if they are all the same and close together. I wonder if they can be put up for sale and sold as private property, who knows someone might like to live there! It's ashame to let that place go to waste.
